Harold E. Campbell graduated from the University of Arizona Law School in 1977. He has been practicing law for 32 years. He is a certified bankruptcy specialist by the State Bar of Arizona. Eighty-five percent of what Mr. Campbell does is bankruptcy, but he also does general business, tax problem resolution, wills, and incorporation. He represents both individuals and businesses in liquidation and reorganizations. He also represents creditors in bankruptcy matters.
He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is the State Chair for NACBA in Arizona and recognized as a member of the Order of Protectors of Consumer Debtors by NACBA. He not only represents individual consumer debtors, but also individuals and businesses in Chapter 11 reorganizations. Additionally, he represents clients against the IRS and State of Arizona in tax collection matters and offers in compromise (programs that allow you to pay off back taxes with a small lump sum payment or payments of a reduced amount over two years).

Mr. Campbell has been married to Jeanette Campbell (who is also the firm’s office manager and bookkeeper) for 32 years and has 3 children: Lindsay who graduated from the University of Oregon and is now pursuing her Masters in Speech Therapy at Arizona State University, Jessica who is a senior at Hamilton High School and will be attending Northern Arizona University in 2010, and Harry, who is a junior at Hamilton High School. Mr. Campbell is an accomplished skier, a not so accomplished golfer, and a devoted fan of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Suns and the Washington Redskins.
Scott H. Coombs, Of Counsel
Scott H. Coombs is an Arizona native who was raised in the Eager Safford area and graduated from Arizona State University Law School in 1981. He served as a law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court, Phoenix, Arizona Division to the Honorable Vincent Maggiore in 1982. He has been practicing law for 29 years. He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. The majority of Mr. Coombs practice is bankruptcy, but he also does general business, personal injury, probate and incorporation. He represents both individuals and businesses in liquidation and reorganizations. He also does some creditor collection work.
Mr. Coombs has been married to Marilyn Coombs for 33 years and has 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren. He is an avid golfer and dedicated follower of the ASU and BYU football programs and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Maureen McAuliffe, Of Counsel
Maureen McAuliffe, graduated from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in May of 2008. Prior to joining the firm Ms. McAuliffe has worked in both the practical and academic areas of the law. Ms. McAuliffe has prior experience in family law, general civil litigation centering on civil rights litigation and wrongful death, and experience working on death penalty cases. Also prior to joining the firm Ms. McAuliffe worked for Bar/Bri bar review and edited the books most lawyers use to study and pass the bar exam in all fifty states. While a staff attorney with Bar/Bri Ms. McAuliffe drafted many of the practice essays used and published in Bar/Bri’s Practice Essay Exam books in Arizona and Nevada and tutored Bar/Bri students studying to pass their state’s bar exam.
At Campbell & Coombs, Ms. McAuliffe represents clients in chapter 7 and chapter 13 cases and works with Mr. Campbell on Chapter 11 cases. She always goes the extra mile for her clients and focuses on the personal service that defines the work ethic of Campbell and Coombs.
Ms. McAuliffe is a very dedicated sports fan. As a former native of Buffalo, New York, she remains a very loyal supporter of both the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, regardless of their win/ loss record. Luckily, Ms. McAuliffe has been successful in persuading her nieces to be avid Buffalo fans and enjoys watching all sporting events with them.
